Think cobbled pathways and white-washed walls….everything blue and white - sounds like Santorini to me, and that is exactly what I felt when I arrived at Fish Beach Taverna. From the narrow alley leading to the restaurant, the awesome seafront location, the tipi lounge set up on the beach front, the view of the palm and lamps hanging from the branches of the trees, you almost feel like you are somewhere in Greece, on the beach!
If you’re a foodie or know someone who is, then there’s no way you haven’t heard of this place. The Greek-styled Aegean restaurant is located at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina and it is the perfect restaurant for any type of mood. Whether it be a romantic dinner or just a casual lunch with friends, there are quite a few different seating selections you can choose from to suit the vibe you are feeling.

From the moment you sit down, the waiters bring you the menu along with a wooden box containing breads, oils, herbs and tomatoes to nibble on while deciding what to order. There is a selection of cold and hot starters, freshly caught seafood, main dishes and casseroles – the perfect Greek and Turkish infusions.
Here is what I tried:
BUCKET OF MUSSELS
Mussels served in a bucket comes with a choice of two sauces creamy white sauce or homemade tomato sauce served with French fries
JUMBO / GARIDES
Tiger prawns cooked in Turkish Raki, fresh herbs, spices, white cheese and tomato sauce
SAFRAN / KROKOS KOZANIS
Pan-fried seabass cooked with white wine, celery roots and saffron sauce
hands down, each and every plate was super delicious - the mussels were my fav! The prices are pretty decent too - I think we spent around 600AED for two people for two mains, a starter and drinks.
The mood and location of the place is superb and the timing was perfect because I just about caught the sunset! I would defo recommend this place if you are planning a romantic date night because of how charming the place is, but it is also a nice place to catch up with a group of friends. It certainly feels special and romantic as the sun starts to set.
